About Anna
According to Webster's Dictionary the definition of create is : to make or bring into existence something new. The act of creating is a process that develops fresh ideas and connections.
The unique qualities of diamonds and other gemstones inspire photographers and artists around the world. As a trained Graduate Gemologist, Anna was drawn to the variety of gemstone colors as a source of inspiration. The light and color of gemstones is present in Anna's art however the art draws on the imagery of nature.
As she learned new artistic skills, she developed a daily need to create. She explores color through a variety of textures and media.
Artist Statement:
Color and texture inspire my creative process. I create using multiple media such as oil paint, watercolor, sewing, embroidery, crochet, and paper crafts such as origami.
As a self taught artist, the role of creating art in my life has transformed from a relaxing and rewarding side activity to a daily need and passion to create. I’m inspired by nature, new cultures, and the joy of creation. Art and the creation of art has the ability to transcend reality and make new worlds from the patterns of the artists’ dreams.

Art Therapy Practioner
Discover creativity and self expression with a neuroscience informed art therapy program individually tailored to you. This is not offered as a counseling session; the goal is to teach you how to adapt art making for your personal well being and enrichment. The brain processes images in the same way the brain processes experienced life. There are many benefits of making art for a therapeutic purpose. Creating and making art is scientifically proven to reduce pain, improve symptoms of depression in cancer patients, alleviate symptoms of PTSD in veterans, and the list continues. I can help you come up with ideas for art projects that use skills that stimulate different parts of the brain.
The focus of art in this scope is to understand how it can enrich one's well-being. This is not a time when art is judged for design or skill.
